Fire Pits
This is a natural gas fire pit. We installed the gas line from the
house under the patio to the location we designed. The
homeowner then installed the fixture and stone base around it. If
you are handy and artistic then this approach can save you money
without sacrificing appearance. If you do not have the time then we
can install everything for you and there is no need for fire wood.
This is another fire pit finished by the homeowner. We
installed the fire ring in the patio and he later installed brick
pavers around the ring that match the walk in the front of their
home.
This fire pit was cut into an existing patio. This patio had a
rectangular hole in it from the old septic tank (access hatch). We
poured the concrete at the bottom of the picture to finish the edge,
then sawcut the octagon shape into the patio and sawcut and
stained the rest of the patio to finish it off. We some creativity and
knowledge about concrete products, the sky is the limit.
This fire pit has a matching Vegas stamp base with a
smooth colored cantilevered top. We matched the color of
the top to the limestone caps that adorn the pillars on the
raised patio. Details are what take a job from nice to
sensational.
This fire pit is affordable yet elegant. It is a simple design of
flaring the concrete up to divert water away. It is simple in design
yet difficult to achieve. Because of the slope of the concrete it
pulls the grout lines away from each other as you stamp around
the fire pit. If your concrete specialist does not know how to
alleviate this problem then you will have a pattern that does not
match. We acid stain the border to draw attention to the obstacle
and as a by product it adds to the look.
This is the same fire pit. To the left is a cloudy day without the top installed. This is a nice clean look with acid stained sides and
integral colored top. The photo on the right is a sunny day with the top installed. We stamped the top with the same seamless
texture skin with grass inlays that we did the patio with.
